Pathfinder Safety Committee

The Pathfinder Safety Committee meets bi-annually to assess the safety of Pathfinder programs, make recommendations, and provide intervention or training if necessary. The committee has full authority to report directly to the Executive Director and meet more frequently if issues arise. The committee is composed of five staff members and one outside source as required by our accrediting body, the Association for Experiential Education.

The following information was gathered from Pathfinder Accident/Incident report forms completed by on-site staff during programs. A blank copy of the report is included at the end of the summary. Staff are required to complete a report for every incident of significance related to injury, illness or behavior.
