A Pathfinder Program combines recreation, adventure and education in one unique package. Choose from the following themes for a unique combination of fun and learning that will captivate your whole family:
Environmental Explorers: Canoe a Florida river, take to the treetops for 21st century tree climbing, learn how to turn pulp into poetry, or get up close and personal with live reptiles. Class Options include: Canoeing, Paper Making, Estuarine Explorer, Enchanted Forest, Tree Climbing, and “CSI – Manatee on the Move”
Family Bonding & Celebration: Strengthen family community through team building challenges. Uncover the talents and strengths of each family member as you work together in activities that enhance group problem solving, decision making, communication skills and trust. Class options include: Canoeing, Incredible Journey, Challenge Course, High Ropes, Tree Climbing, Cast Away!, Drums as Language, Tie-Dying and Hootenanny.
Survival Quest: Enjoy meeting new challenges as you learn survival skills and experience the outdoors. Work as a team to design and build a raft that can transport your family to safety! Class Options include: Orienteering, Tree Climbing, Outdoor Gourmet, Cast Away!, Mission Survivor, Canoeing and Outdoor Living Skills
Evening Programs: Memory Campfire & S’mores, Hootenanny, Drums as Language, Night Hike, Glow in the Dark Scavenger Hunt, and more.
Family Tree: Create your own living family tree with Pathfinder’s tree-climbing program! Gather children on one branch, as parents and grandparents, cousins and extended family members each get their own branches. A wonderful photo opportunity for family reunions, holiday cards…and more!
Accommodations at our partner sites are climate-controlled cabins and lodges. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful. Take a break from cooking with family-style meals in an air-conditioned dining hall. Minimum group size is 15 and the minimum program age is 6.
